Bio

Shanthala Damle is the state Co Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Karnataka. Since joining AAP in 2014, Shanthala has taken on various roles in Bengaluru and other districts of Karnataka. She was an IT professional for more than a decade in the United States before returning to India in 2010 to pursue her passion in politics. She had contested Karnataka State Assembly 2013 elections (representing Loksatta Party) from Basavanagudi constituency. She is the founder of “Avala Hejje”, a social enterprise to promote empowerment of women.

Education

Shanthala holds an MBA from Virginia Tech, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from BDT College of Engineering, Davangere, Karnataka.
